I Am Finally in Dublin

I am finally in Dublin. I left LA on January 1st and arrived here on Friday, January 2nd. The experience at the LAX started off very stressful because my bags were way over the maximum weight allowed, so I had to pay $450 in fines just to have my bags checked.

The plane ride from LA to Atlanta was on time, but I couldn't believe the lack of leg room and dearth of service. There was no food during the four hours of flight. The second flight was delayed by five hours due to mechanical problems. So, I ended up having a 6 hour stopover in Atlanta, Georgia. The plane to Dublin from Atlanta had more room and meals were served. But the delay really threw me off.

I arrived in Dublin at 2:00 p.m. instead of 9 a.m. Brian was waiting for me.

Brian is thrilled to have me here by his side. He is making a lot of effort to help me adjust to life in Ireland, like trying to make the place warm so that I don't shiver in our place.

We live in a small apartment in Rathmines. It has one bedroom. Maybe it is a little too small to have two people living in it. But it is fine for now. We will move to a nicer place once I get a job with stable income.

Summer Vacation

It sure is nice to be on vacation! I have been resting all summer long. Actually, that is an oversimplification. I have not been working since my school is on a traditional calendar, so I have this whole summer off.

It is so nice to be able to take advantage of my time off work to work on other things.
I have been taking three classes at Cal State University Los Angeles. Also, I have been working on my wedding. I made one hundred wedding invitations all on my own and have sent them to my family and friends. I have been meeting with my vendors including the photographer, the baker, the florist, and the caterer.

So, as you can see, I have been quite busy.
